It's begun!

I leave for a minute... He's starting to get into stuff.... is this the  beggining of childhood?!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day!

There were 8 adults, 3 babies, and 2 dogs that went hiking Monday morning. We went on a trail called Devil's Backbone. We had a great time. 

After the hike, Blake and I took naps in shifts (someone watching the baby). Blake did some yard work and I did some house work.

We then went over to our friend's house Kara and Cody to cook some smores with Tay and Keith. Little Sarge was a super cranky pants. We think he has a little cold or something. He didn't eat any cereal before bedtime and he wouldn't take any milk before he went to sleep.

This morning (when he gets up I put him in bed with me and read the scriptures), he likes to grab my face. But he scratched  my face off! There are two nails marks on  my nose by my eye. I think I need to trim those claws... but alas where are the baby clippers?!

Estes Park

We drove up to Estes Park (the beautiful town next to Rocky Mtn. National Park). We walked around the town and looked at the art's fair. We choose a random Mexican Food restaurant where you eat on the top of the building. We saw at least 10 big beautiful elk. 

Joe, Jacque, Blake, Sarger, and I went on a hike to Gem Lake (3 miles round trip). It was a pretty steep climb. The boys and Jacque all took turns carrying Sarger.

After we chilled at Gem Lake for a while there was this older gentleman that came and stripped down to his boxers and jumped right on in. It's awesome when you are older and you can do whatever you want and no one cares. :)

It was perfect weather and we had such a great time with Joe and Jacque!

Tober

My Aunt Toby and Uncle Peter invited us up to their cabin in the mountains in Colorado.

It's a beautiful place!

Look above the fireplace.... yes that's a sweet huge geode!

In the morning we moved some branches.

We roasted the JUMBO marshmellows. Have you seen those bad boys? They are huge!

I could live in the mountains everyday.

Love the baby carrier

Baby Sarge loves to be in the baby carrier. Off to go do yard work.

Flowers

Wow I love summer! There are tons of flowers blooming in our yard! I seriously can't capture all the beautiful colors in our front and backyard.

Bath time!

Sarge loves to take his baths! I love the clean baby smell. He tries to grab the water like its a solid and gets frustrated. He likes to kick his legs and splash.
His body is bigger than the mesh seat. I guess that's what happens when he's in the 95% for height. Did I tell you he has been wearing 6-12 month clothes since he was 4 months old? Crazy huh?!
